Mother of the spirits. A bringer of hope. A beacon in the darkness. The Spirit Of The North is our spectacular Carnival lead figure which will wow audiences with its ethereal beauty. This 3m floating head made from lightweight material and decorated with stunning fabrics will add the wow factor to any event.

The Spirit Of The North’s hair is made up of 5 x 8m lengths of hand painted silk, painted with different stories of light and hope.

Stunning in the daytime or illuminated at night. The night-time element includes smoke bombs and handheld stage lights.

HIRE OPTIONS

The Spirit Of The North is available as a single hire to add to an event, or you can hire the whole production including other spirit puppets as well as live music and dancers (or we can work with you and your local community performers in whatever format your event is in).

As well as parading, we can also install The Spirit Of The North as a static piece. 

TELL YOUR OWN STORY

When hiring this puppet there’s also the option of creating your own silks to trail off the Spirit with stories from your community, or simply hire with these beautiful existing silks.

When creating this piece we worked with local community groups, telling their stories of light, hope, and living in the North. We created the silks with the help of those groups in different workshops which we facilitate at our studios here in Mossley, or we can come to you with our mobile studio.
