    Throughout the year there are regular opportunities to volunteer with us on large scale Carnival art projects. Carnival can’t happen without a team of volunteers, like in many Carnival traditions around the globe. Volunteering can also lead to getting involved in events and performances too with us and our partners.

    Volunteering with Cabasa can enhance your wellbeing and help you meet new people. Every contribution, however big or small, helps on the journey to make beautiful things.

PLACEMENTS

Are you looking to work with an arts organisation as part of your placement year?

We’ve had many students come and learn about Carnival arts with us over the years.

There are many things you can get involved with and get experience in:


Batik (wax on fabric) – Fabric Painting – Silk Painting – Headdress Making – Sewing – Pattern Cutting – Embellishing Costumes – Giant Puppet Construction – Backpack Construction – Wire Bending, and more!


We’re also a Community Interest Company (CIC), so you could learn more about how a social enterprise works.
